Just before the Salare Il Lago hit’s the salted field, it splits, a branch of it drifting of into this territory. Many rains have made parts of this brook into swamp-like areas. Young animals are cautioned when about the area, seeing as they could easily get caught in the sludge. It seems the further you go, the deeper the muck becomes, thus, most choose to stay near the front of the branch rather than follow it back.
